Agitated Thin Film Dryer (ATFD) is designed for final drying of concentrated effluents, slurries, and residues generated in Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems. Typically installed downstream of MEE or MVR systems, the ATFD converts high?viscosity liquids into dry, free?flowing solids suitable for handling and disposal.
The system operates by spreading the feed material as a thin film over a heated surface using a mechanically agitated rotor. Continuous agitation ensures uniform heat transfer, prevents fouling, and enables efficient evaporation even for heat?sensitive and difficult?to?handle materials.
Designed for stable and continuous operation, the ATFD plays a critical role in achieving complete ZLD by minimising liquid waste and supporting efficient solids recovery while maintaining energy?efficient performance.
