CII-IGBC grants Gold certification for A.T.E.’s Ahmedabad unit

A.T.E. is committed to health and sustainability. That is why for many years A.T.E.’s own buildings have been built to meet the highest standards. We are pleased that the new state-of-the-art green building for manufacturing the HMX and AxisValence range of products at Sari, near Ahmedabad, was recently certified with a Gold rating by CII-IGBC.

CII-IGBC has recognised A.T.E.’s efforts for meeting energy and environment standards through thoughtful architectural and systems design, and has awarded 75 points in the ranking system which translates to a “Gold” rating for the new factory building. Parameters recognised in the evaluation include indoor air quality, daylighting, energy efficiency, renewable energy through a solar PV array, rainwater harvesting, sewage treatment, etc.

Among the various green features considered for the certification is HMX’s own 100% fresh air, Indirect Direct Evaporative Cooling (IDEC) units installed at the HMX Sari factory, which help reduce energy consumption and provide healthy indoor air quality.

Mr Amar Khanolkar, Vice President – ETP and Utilities, A.T.E. Enterprises, who was the manager for this project, said, “This is the third IGBC certified building of the A.T.E. Group and reaffirms our commitment to the environment.”
